School of Logistics launches European certification of best graduates

School of Logistics, Faculty of business and management in HSE has received from the European Logistics Association (ELA) official permission to give out international certificates of level "cELog" (European Logistician Candidate - a candidate for the European logistics providers) to the best graduates of a bachelor degree without passing additional exams.

Selection criteria candidates for certification:

  • Average score during studying at the bachelor course is not less than 7.
  • The state exam and graduation work (bachelor's degree) scores are not less than 6.

The validity of the certificate "cELog" is 5 years.

During this period (5 years) but not earlier than 3 years after obtaining a certificate of candidate in European logistics, graduate bachelor can exchange for the certificate of assistant logistician ("EJLog") or senior logistician ("ESLog"). The applicant should confirm the relevant experience for at least 3 years for this. Confirmation of the experience involves the provision of official supporting documents (extract from the employment record, letters of recommendation from place of work), as well as giving a presentation with a story about their achievements for the reporting period and answers to questions of the Board of assessors. The Board of assessors decides on granting the candidate a new certificate of level "EJLog" or "ESLog" depending on the performance of the candidate. Delivery of any further exams in this case are not required as well.

Master students of the first and second year who have completed a bachelor's HSE program "Logistics and supply chain management" and meet the above criteria also can obtain the certificate "cELog". The minimum period between obtaining certificates levels "cELog" and "EJLog"/ "ESLog" for graduates of master programs is one year.

Certificates "cELog", "EJLog", "ESLog" require payment.

Certificates of the candidate in the European logistics give graduates the following benefits:

  • confirmation of knowledge and competence in the field of logistics and supply chain management at the international level;
  • for international mobility in the labour market (ELA certificates are recognized in 25 countries whose national associations are included in ELA);
  • the opportunity to be among the first owners of the certificates "cELog" in Russia (which provides additional unique competitive advantages on the Russian labour market);
  • the possibility of obtaining European certificates Junior and Senior logistician on favorable terms, without taking additional exams.

Questions about the procedure and the conditions of certification can be addressed to the Deputy head of School of Logistics in International Activities, Andrey Borisovich Vinogradov (e-mail: AVinogradov@hse.ru, vinogradov@mclog.ru).
