The company's employees held a presentation, familiarizing the participants with the basic indicators of world-known transnational corporations and the success of PepsiCo in Russia (the company is the largest manufacturer of food products and beverages in Russia). A separate presentation was devoted to the program of increase of efficiency of a local warehouse complex of the company, designed for storing material resources for production and finished products. After the presentations, visitors were invited to see the production and warehouse capacities "PepsiCo". The staff of administrative warehouse support group Vadim Grachev and Andrey Ovchinnikov showed the students handling the front of the warehouse, held by major work areas, demonstrated technological equipment used for storing the goods (including Shuttle racks and gravity racks "push back"), talked about the specifics of the warehouse material handling process. Production Manager Vladimir Gaposhin and his colleague Evgeny Kuzin gave a tour of his "diocese", describing in detail all stages of the production process: from water treatment, syrup preparation and blowing of PET bottles from preforms to the bottling, quality control, packaging and palletizing of goods. In conclusion, students got acquainted with the work of the Yard Management System which provides streamlining and automatic process of managing the movement of vehicles on-site storage facilities, and improves the implementation of loading and unloading operations.
The school administration thanked the graduate of logistics master program "Strategic logistics management", the analyst of Corporation "PepsiCo" Andrey Ovchinnikov for the initiative to organize excursions and expresses sincere appreciation to the employees of the company Vadim Grachev, Alexander Klimov, Vladimir Gaposhin, Eugene Kuzin, without whom the organization and execution of these events would not have been possible.
